The History of Regency Homes
In the 1960’s
Regency Homes started operation in 1960 by being the first Omaha homebuilder to use component type construction techniques (walls & roof systems are built in a factory environment). This time was used to focus on systems and processes that would later set the standards for efficient cost effective and efficient construction processes.
In the 1970’s & 1980’s
In the early 70’s until the mid 80’s the company specialized conventionally built new homes for the first time homeowners and often held the title as “Nebraska’s Largest Homebuilder”. In those years thousands of homes were built in Communities that were developed by the company in the Southwestern part of Omaha. In the mid 80’s Regency began to provide homes also for second time homeowners. Many of their first time homeowners now live in their second Regency Home.
In the 1990’s
In the mid 90’s Regency Homes designed and developed Walnut Lake, one of Omaha’s only gated Villa communities. At this time Regency moved into the luxury home market with the introduction of Omaha’s first “Courtyard Homes”.
Today
Today Regency builds new homes to meet the needs of all homeowners. With hundreds of options to choose from, homeowners can personalize their home to fit their needs. Now Regency Homes is not only a homebuilder with its own in-house design team, but also a land planner and developer, and a Real Estate entity.
