Below you will find the frequently asked questions we receive from our customers. This may help you get quick answers to initial questions you may have.

How long will it take to build my home?
Usually 5-7 months from the time that we can actually dig the hole for the foundation. It can take longer if extended periods of adverse weather take place during the construction cycle. Note: It can take from 2 weeks to over 3 months to get to the point of basement excavation. This will depend on the amount of plan customization that is necessary and the building permit approval time.

How will I get started in the selection of the finishes for my home?
Early in the new home process you will be given a "Selection Guide" that will lead you through the color and finish selection process step by step.  Your new home sales counselor will also be there to help.

Can my Realtor help with the new home process?
Your Realtor is welcome at any of the construction process meetings.

How will communications be handled - when I have a question about my new home?
Your Regency sales counselor will be your communications link to the entire process. He has daily contact to the Personal Builder of your home. Questions and concerns are usually handled promptly through our "Customer Wants to Know" feedback system.

What are the warranties offered with my new home?
The warranties that are included with your new home as well as the tolerances and standards for the warranty program and clearly spelled out in the "Homeowners Manual" that will be provided to you at the time of contract acceptance. This manual has over 150 pages of new home information.

How will rainy or winter weather affect the structure of my home?
Most of today's building materials are designed to be weather tolerant. Subfloor material, roof sheathing, and most other materials are engineered to withstand rain and snow conditions. We are limited however, with the placement and installation of some building materials such as paint and concrete. Scheduling delays sometimes arise when we have to wait to install these products. 

Who is responsible for the home before I move in?
The Builder is responsible for job site theft, injuries, damage and other such construction issues. His builders risk insurance and general liability insurance cover the job until the day of closing. If any of you personal items are on the job site, they are not covered by the builder or his insurance.
